Glastonbury festival organiser Emily Eavis has announced that there will be a series of tributes at the festival held to Michael Jackson, who died in Los Angeles of a heart attack yesterday (June 25).

The festival is taking place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th, with Eavis explaining that tibutes would be paid to the singer throughout the Worthy Farm site.

Writing on the official Glastonbury Twitter page, Twitter.com/glastofest, Eavis explained that tributes would be paid, but has not revealed specific details yet.

“So sad to hear the news about MJ,” she wrote. “There will be tributes all over the site all weekend. A truly great artist. Emily.”
