Cinema
Amongst all the great music and workshops at Wychwood sits the cinema. It is an oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of the festival, a chance to catch a surreal short film and broaden your mind or just a welcome moment of shade in a quirky, cosy, comfortable, informal, intimate and friendly venue. It’s a world away from your local multiplex and we will be screening films mainstream cinemas have never even heard of!
Check back soon for more information about the films you can catch at Wychwood 2009.
Other Events
If you find a spare moment between enjoying bands, comedians, films and workshops, there is plenty more to do over the weekend.
Wychwood has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. There are lots of places to chill out and enjoy excellent food and drink with friends and family. There are some fantastic traders selling clothing, jewellery, records, books, toys and much more. As you explore the site keep your eyes peeled for spontaneous performances, you never know who you might end up seeing!
This year we have a whole new area dedicated to children’s authors – The Children’s Literature Festival at Wychwood in association with The University of Worcester and Borders. Some of the best children’s authors in the country will be joining us. On Sunday afternoon, the whole family will enjoy the fantastic site parade.
For those of you who like a late night, you can party in to the early hours with Silent Disco. Dancers are provided with personal wireless headphones to tune in to the DJ… and you don’t need to shout to make yourself heard above the music!

This blog’s great!! Thanks

Hi, We were there at Wychwood Music Festival 2009. Really enjoyed facilitating the Bhangra Tots (for young children & their parents/carers) and Bhangra dance for adults workshops. Everyone was helpful. Good all round entertainment. Thanks to Jem and the team – well done.
Sohan.
